Im a "Heavy Metal Hippie"?
I consider myself a "Heavy Metal Hippie". I was wondering who else considers themselves as this and (why). i dont like to fight and like to be calm but i love my metal lol. hate politics and the government and against war.
My dad is into poison, ozzy, zeppelin, van halen, the cars, iron maiden, guns n roses, motley crue, alice cooper, def leppard, pink floyd, bad company, kiss, judas priest, mostly hair metal and bad ass rocknroll.
My mom is into tom petty, boston, bob dylan, aerosmith, the doors, janis joplin, journey, the beatles, with a little poison and but not too much heavier stuff.
If I would have to list off the top 25 bands i listen to in random order it would be difficult but here i go.
Lamb of God, The Beatles, Mastodon, Pink Floyd, Children of Bodom, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, White Zombie, Rob zombie, Tom Petty, Nazareth, Iron Butterfly, DevilDriver, Pantera, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Static-X, Cream, Steppenwolf, Rush, Trivium, Metallica(early years) i think thats 26.
but yeah let me know! oh and i love my marijuana and 60s and 70s style clothing and the blue jeans with metal band t-shirt lol and long hair. and im 20 if anyone is wondering
sorry about forgetting sum i was trying to keep it short but here are some more is listen to. the who, foghat, blue oyster cult, bob marley, grateful dead, cheap trick, THE EAGLES (dont know i forgot that) foreigner, kansas, rainbow, the rolling stones, sweet, wolfmother, slayer, testament, slipknot. list goes on. got my ipod out lol….NO rap or hiphop
No TOOL, CCR, Oyster Cult or The Who? Shame shame. I used to strictly listen to that music and dress the same, had hair down my back and always had a smokey smell on me with a pocketfull of mushrooms, then after i graduated i shaved my head and went into the military, no idea why, i wouldnt consider you a heavy metal hippie, just a modern day one.
From one old hippie to a new hippie…right on.
Have the same list but add Beacon Street Union (Marvin Gardens, their version of Hey Joe is awesome when stoned on hash).
